When I was doing distance l
earning during COVID-19, I actually felt like I was much more organized and on top of my work. I think this was the case because I had a lot more free time and was spending my time doing assignments rather than spending a lot of time in my electives, or lunch, or even driving to and from school. The one thing I had a really hard time with while doing distance learning was my more rigorous classes like my AP Psychology class and my Orchestra class. Trying to prep for a AP exam through zoom made it difficult for me to focus and I got distracted easily while at home. I couldn’t imagine how much more difficult it would be teaching through distance learning, because it is so hard to connect with your students this way, however, I would probably try to come up with engaging assignments that were interactive and helped get my point across in the lesson.

Open educational resources are resources that are open for use to anyone. When it comes to identifying OER’s there are “Five R’s” we associate it with, retain, reuse, revise, remix and redistribute. We are able to contribute to OER’s and when we use them, or teachers, we gain a large access to many resources that we can change for our own uses, or for a teachers sake, for their class room. Many creators have a Creative Commons license to communicate how the OER can be used.

From the PowerPoint assignments (Ive only done Assignment 4:PowerrPoint for Information Dissemination) I learned for to create my own template on a slide which super neat and I had no idea we could do! It was really fun trying to come up with a different setup than the rest of my slide options, and helpful! I also have never recorded myself on a PowerPoint and I did have a difficult time at first trying to record it and also trying to save it but I did figure it out eventually. Also when it came to recording it, I had a hard time trying to get the animations to switch but I realized once I started to record the animations would work as planned. Next time I can improve by giving myself more time to mess around with PowerPoint and use even more creative animations and templates.
