I have never personally had Twitter, however; I would say that my experiences using Instagram has been beneficial for my personal learning experiences. By having social media like instagram there are many times where I can just search up anything from “new one pan recipes” to “what happened in Tallahassee this weekend?” Most of the people I interact with are people I went to school with, and/or friends, but I also follow a lot of accounts that give school (FSU) information, like what is happening on campus this weekend. I find accounts like this beneficial because I am keeping up with what is going on in my community, and therefore I can stay involved! Sources like Instagram and Twitter might be helpful in my future career because now most people have these platforms, and I could be able to reach families, staff and administration through these sources.


The digital divide can affect some students' success in schools because not all students have access to technology and/or digital devices. This means that some students might fall behind when it comes to learning to use new platforms and digital devices, which can affect their success in classes where they need to use these sources. Also, some students’ parents may not be the most knowledgeable when it comes to new technology and therefore, they may not be able to teach and help them learn. It might be difficult as a teacher to deal with some students that are behind because then I will have to take from my own personal time or class time to help them catch up to the rest of their peers. I could start after school tutoring on my planning time to help those students catch up. 


Two software tools that I would like to implement in my future classroom are Microsoft word and Canva. I think Microsoft word is important to teach students because many places will expect you to know how to use it and I have used it the entirety of my educational career. It would be extremely helpful to have students learn how to use this program as soon as they are capable. I would also like to use Canva because it not only has so many options and can promote so much creativity, but there are so many times that I have used Canva for my own personal needs and knowing to use this software will prove helpful in their personal lives.

 When I was looking for teacher pages on a school website, the types of information that I found on the teacher pages was a picture of them, what grade and class they teach, their work email, class website, and phone number. I think that it was very easy to find this teacher page, all the you have to do is log onto the school’s website, click our school and click faculty and staff. If you go to the search bar and type in teachers, different sites from Leon county school come up. These include different school sites, faculty and staff pages for other schools and teacher portals.  When I was doing distance l earning during COVID-19, I actually felt like I was much more organized and on top of my work. I think this was the case because I had a lot more free time and was spending my time doing assignments rather than spending a lot of time in my electives, or lunch, or even driving to and from school. The one thing I had a really hard time with while doing distance learning was my more rigorous classes like my AP Psychology class and my Orchestra class. Trying to prep for a AP exam through zoom made it difficult for me to focus and I got distracted easily while at home. I couldn’t imagine how much more difficult it would be teaching through distance learning, because it is so hard to connect with your students this way, however, I would probably try to come up with engaging assignments that were interactive and helped get my point across in the lesson.  Open educational resources are resources that are open for use to anyone.   As a teacher I think it is very important to be knowledgeable about copyright and fair use. I think it is especially important to be educated on the topic when it comes to classroom materials like for instruction, tests, class work and homework. I do think when it comes to the students it might be easier to avoid copyright when the students are still younger but when it comes to the older students that are using more technology, it will be more difficult to ensure they are using themselves only. Using programs that will scan for copyright like turn it   in, or   teaching how to use proper citations and/or summarization will help avoid copyright from your students.   I think a solution to decreased productivity for students would be making sure that students do not have access to other platforms on their devices during the time that they’re in class.
